Events Marketing Manager

About us

At Xelix, we work with some of the world’s largest companies to automate and strengthen their financial controls. Our AI solutions redefine how Accounts Payable teams operate - moving from manual processes to automated, intelligent workflows.

Xelix is a fast-paced scale-up - things move fast and expectations are high. We raised our Series B with Insight Partners in June 2025 and are expanding aggressively, whilst remaining profitable. We have over 100 talented people pulling together to achieve our goals. Everyone is trusted to take ownership, move fast and have a meaningful impact. We prioritise personal and professional growth, keep things fun & we love to celebrate a milestone together.

In this role you’ll grow, be challenged and help shape the future of Xelix. If you’re excited about building something special with us, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

Events at Xelix aren’t a supporting act - they’re one of our primary demand generation and pipeline acceleration channels. We run a strong, established programme of around 50 events a year, and we’re now looking for someone to take that foundation further: tighter integration with our broader marketing mix, a more deliberate structure across the funnel, and a sharper connection to our ABM and target account strategy.

We’re building a community, and events are central to how that grows - creating brand moments that people remember long after they leave. The unglamorous logistics are part of the job, but so is the buzz of a room where everyone leaves talking about Xelix. It’s a role that keeps you on your toes and never stops being interesting.

What you'll own

Strategy and programme design

• Own the annual events calendar across formats and funnel stages, ensuring the right balance of demand creation and pipeline acceleration

• Develop a framework for how different event types serve different commercial goals and use it to drive better investment decisions

• Work toward a fully integrated model - events connected to ABM strategy, content themes, and paid activity as part of a coherent go-to-market motion

• Build scalable processes and operating rhythms that create leverage across the programme, identifying where tooling, templates, and automation can do the heavy lifting

• Track and report on events as a revenue channel: attendance, pipeline influenced, pipeline created, conversion from event to opportunity

Run the global events programme

• Own end-to-end delivery of Xelix Connect, our flagship annual conference - working with Content and Product Marketing on the content agenda, speaker programme, run of show, commercial partnerships, and attendee experience

• Manage our presence at third-party conferences and our hosted field programme: roundtables, roadshows, executive dinners, breakfasts, and brunches - often co-designed with Sales against target account lists

• Develop a virtual events series that scales our reach and thought leadership beyond the field programme

• Bring a strong point of view on attendee experience - from first invite to follow-up, every touchpoint should feel considered, on-brand, and distinctly Xelix

Sales enablement and pipeline conversion

• Work closely with SDRs, AEs, and Account Managers to drive the right attendance - giving commercial teams the tools and messaging to get the right people in the room

• Understand that event success is built before and after the event, not just on the day - own the pre-event outreach strategy and post-event lead process in HubSpot, and treat pipeline conversion as a core output, not a handover

Operations, suppliers, and team

• Negotiate and manage relationships with venues, production companies, AV suppliers, and third-party organisers, owning event budgets with commercial rigour

• Line manage one Events Executive and contribute to integrated planning cycles as part of the broader Growth team

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience running a high-volume, multi-format B2B events programme at this scale, with a track record of events that have generated measurable pipeline, not just strong feedback scores

• Strategic thinking about how events fit into a wider marketing mix - and the operational discipline to execute without dropping anything

• A mindset for operational efficiency: you systematise repeatable work, reduce manual effort, and build processes that hold up under pressure

• Strong commercial instincts - you negotiate well, manage budgets tightly, and think ROI before you book anything

• Experience working directly with sales teams on attendance, pre- and post-event follow-through, and lead conversion

• Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM for event marketing

Nice to have

• Experience with ABM-aligned event strategy or account-based field programmes

• Familiarity with webinar platforms (e.g. ON24, Goldcast, Zoom Webinars)

• Experience building events as a community and thought leadership channel

What Success Looks Like

• An efficient, scalable events engine - strong processes, smart use of tooling, and an operating rhythm that can grow with the business

• Events clearly contributing to pipeline - with the data to prove it

• A programme that keeps raising the bar on quality and experience, so every event leaves people talking about Xelix

• A growing community of finance professionals who associate Xelix with great experiences and genuine connection
