About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Science team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and preferably have past experience working with financial lending institutions. As a Senior Data Analyst you will deliver and sometimes lead business analysis that supports the entire customer lifecycle, from customer onboarding to solution deployment. Additionally, you will work closely with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Client Engagement to develop new end-to-end analysis-related ML products and drive analysis research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts and supporting Data Scientists to deliver high-quality data-backed solutions.
- Translate the impact of complex machine learning models into actionable and meaningful business insights.
- Ensure clients understand the effect of their decisions and the associated trade-offs through clear and effective communication.
- Conduct and manage ad-hoc data analyses, ranging in depth and breadth, often relying on key and clear visualizations.
- Conduct statistical analyses, testing, and deliver insights to solve business challenges.
- Lead the development of analysis-related products and support related applied research activities.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers to establish requirements and support development, and make minor adjustments to existing analytical code bases, including submitting pull requests to support development work.
- Identify areas for operational improvement to reduce delivery timelines and increase efficiency by collaborating closely with development teams.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Experience working in analytical or quantitative teams or projects for a financial institution, such as banks, credit unions, or a fintech company strongly preferred.
- Experience in an aspect of credit lending is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency using data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Good understanding of machine learning.
- Excellent business acumen and ability to understand and solve complex business problems.
- Good project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
