Information about the position

Join our team as a Moderation Specialist in Trust & Safety Operations within the Scaled Moderation stream, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and reliable catalogue for our community. Your focus will be on moderating listings across the fashion, lifestyle, and electronics categories, ensuring content integrity and platform safety. You'll be at the forefront of content moderation, leveraging your keen attention to detail and passion for sustainability to uphold our quality standards. This position offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by efficiently managing content at scale and contributing to a trusted online marketplace.

In this position, you’ll

  • Quickly review and assess large volumes of flagged content, making swift, informed decisions to ensure a safe and reliable marketplace.
  • Shift between different tasks as needed to maintain a seamless moderation process.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by learning quickly and adapting to constant change.
  • Operate within a shift-based schedule to support continuous content moderation.
  • Collaborate closely with your team to support each other, exchange insights, and enhance the moderation process.
  • Moderate content across Fashion, Lifestyle, and Electronics categories, staying informed about industry trends and sharing knowledge.
  • Contribute to impactful side projects that benefit the team and department's overall processes.
  • Continuously grow your expertise in trust and safety through engaging in professional development opportunities.
  • Screen, monitor, and assess potentially risky content to uphold platform safety.
  • Handle system-generated reports efficiently, ensuring platform safety with no direct user interaction.
  • Make quick, accurate decisions by following established procedures and maintaining high quality standards.

About you

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills; consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work.
  • Communicate clearly in English (B2+), both written and spoken.
  • Independent, adaptable, and resilient; comfortable with shift work and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player who collaborates well with others and is open to learning from more experienced colleagues.
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Interested in trends in fashion, lifestyle, and electronics, with a strong focus on brand verification.
  • Contribute positively to the team by being accountable, solving problems, and sharing feedback to improve tools and processes.
  • May have or be developing expertise in areas like counterfeit detection, electronics, or account moderation - customer support experience is a strong plus.
