Information about the position
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a highly skilled team at Vinted, which is responsible for our compute platform based on Kubernetes and Istio technologies. We run our managed clusters on high-end physical servers distributed across multiple data centers. We do thousands of deployments a day, provide ~300k CPU cores and ~1PB of memory.
In this position, you’ll
- Be responsible for the team's delivery management, quality of engineering, and setting/improving ways of working/processes.
- Build and maintain a team that trusts each other, cares about results, and is not afraid of conflict, commitment, and accountability.
- Set ambitious but realistic goals.
- Define clear priorities for your team, which currently consists of 8 Site Reliability Engineers.
- Focus on professional and personal growth of your team, conduct 1-1 meetings, performance and compensation reviews.
- Represent the team and its function inside and outside the company.
- Maintain working relationships with our partners and service providers to get the best service available.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to our infrastructure and build solutions to implement them.
About you
- Proven experience in leading infrastructure/platform teams at scale, with a track record of successful results.
- Empathy for people you lead.
- A good track record of consistent delivery for technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Open source software knowledge.
- Previous hands-on engineering experience would be a huge advantage.
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Istio, containers, and distributed platforms is a huge plus.
- Fluency in English

The salary range for this position is € 6,258 - € 8,475 gross per month.
