Job Summary
We're seeking a dynamic Senior Brand Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role sits at the intersection of brand strategy and demand generation, focusing on creating memorable experiences and strategic partnerships that amplify Vanilla's brand presence and drive new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities, passionate about building meaningful connections between our brand and target audiences.
This role is a remote position, you must be based out of one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MA, ME, MN, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, UT, VA, WA, WA D.C.
Responsibilities:
Partnership Marketing
Collaborate with Head of Partnerships to identify, develop, and manage strategic marketing partnerships that align with business objectives
Create co-marketing campaigns and joint initiatives with technology partners, industry associations, and access networks
Build ongoing relationships with partner marketing teams to maintain a steady stream of activities that drive greater brand visibility and qualified leads
Develop partner enablement materials and programs to support joint go-to-market efforts
Event Strategy & Management
Develop and manage Vanilla’s event marketing strategies for both in-person conferences/trade shows and digital webinar programs
Collaborate with Events Manager to execute end-to-end event planning and create compelling event experiences that showcase Vanilla's brand values and generate qualified leads
Measure and report on ROI and performance across all event activities
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure seamless lead handoff and conversion
Brand Amplification & Campaign Development
Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and generate demand
Collaborate with content marketing, digital marketing, and creative teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints
Develop thought leadership initiatives including speaking opportunities, industry panels, and executive positioning
Manage and grow brand ambassador program
Monitor brand perception and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with sales, product marketing, content marketing, and customer success teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals
Partner with creative and content teams to develop high-quality marketing materials and assets
Coordinate with growth marketing team to ensure seamless integration of brand, events and partnership efforts
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in B2B marketing within financial services, with a strong emphasis on partnerships, events, or brand marketing
Direct experience marketing to financial advisors or professionals in wealth management, ideally within a wealthtech, fintech, or technology-forward firm serving the independent advisory or RIA space
Proven track record of managing large-scale events and partnership programs
Previous experience managing agency relationships and external vendors
Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze campaign performance and optimize accordingly
Creative problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking capabilities
