Location: This role is based 3 days per week out of our San Francisco, HQ and is not eligible for full-time remote work.
Compensation: The annual cash compensation range for this position is $190,000–$260,000 based on level in addition to equity & benefits.

Gem engineers work closely with product managers and designers to influence product direction, company roadmap, and business outcomes.
We stay close to customers by joining customer calls, and reading customer feedback.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

Own product features end-to-end alongside your product manager, engineering manager and designer.
Work primarily with Typescript, React, Python, GraphQL, Node, PostgreSQL.
Collaborate with engineers on your team and across Gem on code reviews, data model, architecture, and product decisions.
Stay close to our customers.
Embody our company values of ownership, velocity, customer centricity, diversity and transparency.
Influence decisions and have direct impact on business outcomes.

You have industry experience as a software engineer, building user-facing products.
