We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys building high-scale, low-latency systems and taking real ownership. You’ll work on core software systems that handle large volumes of data, collaborate closely with product and data teams, and help shape the technical direction as you grow toward a Tech Lead role.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Ownership & Autonomy: Act as an owner for assigned modules and features.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with various internal stakeholders and gather requirements for new features in collaboration with our product managers.

• Agile Development: Demonstrate end-to-end agile ability, including sprint planning, scoping new requirements, and ensuring code quality and production testing.

• Team Contribution: Work alongside SDE-I engineers, potentially mentoring or guiding them. Contribute to the technical strategy for our engineering product and for Tractable

• Career Growth: This role offers a defined path to a Technical Lead (TL) position for senior candidates.

Experience:

• Must Have

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience

  • Strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design

  • Experience with:

    • TypeScript

    • Postgres (or similar databases)

    • OOP concepts

    • Git / GitHub

  • Experience building and shipping production-grade systems

Good to Have

• Hands on Remix

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Exposure to distributed systems, streaming, or real-time data

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes

• Interest or exposure to AI/ML-driven systems
