This is a really exciting opportunity for a hands-on, operationally sharp leader to own the heartbeat of a Modern Milkman hub - and make sure every single delivery lands perfectly on the doorstep, every single night.

Your mission 💪

Own the overnight operation at your hub end-to-end from driver performance and rota planning to fleet compliance and live delivery issues. You’ll lead from the front, build a high-performing team, and protect the customer experience night after night.

What you’d be doing

• Owning overnight execution so every wave dispatches on time and all drops are completed by the deadline
• Building disciplined rotas that guarantee 100% route coverage every night
• Coaching and holding drivers accountable to performance, safety and quality standards
• Identifying risks 24 hours in advance - before they ever reach the customer
• Managing fleet compliance, daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Acting as the first escalation point for live delivery issues
• Maintaining a minimum 1.2 driver-to-route ratio to protect against absence and churn
• Building an inclusive, accountability-first culture where the team thrives

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in logistics, depot or delivery operations ideally in a live environment
• Strong understanding of driver operations, rota planning and workforce stability
• Confidence using performance dashboards and KPIs to drive outcomes
• A hands-on leadership style - you coach, you don’t just manage
• Sharp live problem-solving under time pressure
• Experience managing fleet compliance and safety
• Comfortable leading night operations - this is when the magic happens!
• Valid driver’s licence would be very beneficial
• Within a one-hour commute of our Lichfield hub
