Your mission 💪
We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to help us build and scale our data stack. You’ll be joining a small team of data pros who work closely with colleagues in tech and the business to deliver reliable, valuable analytics in a self-serve BI environment.
As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll be responsible for staging, transforming and modelling source data to produce clean, certified datasets in our data warehouse that can be used to generate critical analysis.
You’ll work with stakeholders from across the business with a range of skills and needs, gathering their requirements and getting the right data to the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities 🥛
Designing and building data models for analytics, reporting, and data science applications.
Implementing and maintaining reliable, efficient ELT pipelines.
Build and maintain BI reporting and dashboards, ensuring that data products effectively support business decision-making.
Support the broader data function through ad hoc analysis and insights, with the expectation that analytical work will become a core part of the role as our data infrastructure matures.
Developing tools and processes to ensure the quality and observability of data.
Monitoring and improving the performance and efficiency of the data stack.
Producing excellent documentation on all of the above.
Work in a small, agile team to build excellent data products.
Build great relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs and challenges.
Be curious, adaptable, and willing to pitch in to help with data problems of all shapes and sizes.
What You’ll Bring 💡
Experience in a data or analytics engineering role, ideally in a start-up environment.
Excellent SQL, with strong Python skills a plus.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and reporting tools.
Previous experience with data cloud tech like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
Knowledge of ELT tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Stitch.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-oriented.
