Unified Identity Securing Classic and AI Infrastructure
Teleport, the AI Infrastructure Identity Company, prepares organizations for an AI future by establishing a unified identity layer for infrastructure, with humans, machines, workloads, and AI agents secured cryptographically with a hardware root of trust rather than vulnerable credentials. By replacing fragmented identity and access management systems with Infrastructure Identity, Teleport scales zero trust across cloud and on-prem environments, eliminating the complexity and risk created by identity fragmentation and credential sprawl. Teleport protects infrastructure from identity attacks, accelerates engineering by reducing infrastructure complexity, and secures non-deterministic agentic workflows. Headquartered in Oakland, CA, Teleport operates globally, with industry-leading customers such as Nasdaq, IBM, Doordash, and Elastic.
Our Vision
Today's computing environments have too much complexity, too many network boundaries, and too little trust. Complexity slows engineers down and leads to human errors. Complex systems can’t be secure despite the red tape of bureaucracy. We make trusted computing simple. This gives engineers the freedom to move and build a better future.
Why Teleport
Teleport addresses the overlooked intersection between cybersecurity and infrastructure—an area companies have historically tried to manage through a fragmented mix of tools like PAM, network-centric controls, and fragmented secrets management. This approach was already inefficient, but it fundamentally breaks down in the era of AI.
AI changes the landscape in three critical ways. First, non-human, machine, and AI identities now outnumber human ones, driving massive secrets sprawl while worsening anonymity. Second, anonymity is incompatible with AI workloads: these systems are inherently non-deterministic, operate across many services and environments, and therefore require strong identity, continuous trust, and end-to-end visibility to function safely and correctly. Third, the non-deterministic nature of AI makes reliability and scalability non-negotiable—systems must be resilient, observable, and with access control guardrails, because failures and unexpected behavior cannot be handled with static controls or manual intervention.
Solving this problem requires a fundamentally different approach: a unified identity layer that spans machines, workloads, humans, and agents. Identity becomes the security control plane that replaces network location and long-lived secrets as the basis of trust. Ephemeral privileges are critical in this model—privileges must be granted just-in-time, limited to the task at hand, and automatically expire, dramatically reducing blast radius in systems where behavior cannot be fully predicted. Finally, real-time intelligence is essential: in fast-moving, AI-driven environments, access decisions must continuously adapt to context, behavior, and system state, rather than relying on static policies defined in advance.
Teleport addresses the growing gap between today’s cyber and infrastructure security posture and what modern, AI-driven systems actually require. As AI systems proliferate, attack surfaces and pathways multiply, giving adversaries unprecedented leverage. The result is an inflection point: without re-anchoring security and infrastructure around identity, real-time trust, and ephemeral privileges, the volume and impact of security breaches will only accelerate.
About The Position
Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company, providing a unified identity layer for infrastructure (humans, machines, workloads, and AI agents) secured cryptographically. As AI systems increasingly mediate how technical buyers discover and evaluate infrastructure tools, we need a Manager of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to ensure Teleport is consistently included, accurately represented, and influential in LLM-generated answers and synthesis surfaces.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can build and operate a system connecting message, content, distribution, retrieval, and measurement. You will partner across Corporate Marketing (Web), Demand Generation, and Product Marketing to drive predictable gains in AI-driven discovery, and you will own the framework that makes those gains measurable.
This role is ideal for someone who has adapted modern SEO practice into the AI era and understands how LLMs retrieve, synthesize, and represent information. Experience working on products in the cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, or identity space is a strong plus.
Requirements
GEO and AI discovery expertise. Demonstrated experience improving visibility in AI-driven or search-mediated discovery, with a working understanding of how LLMs retrieve, synthesize, and represent information. You have built query-based testing or measurement frameworks in production.
Modern SEO and search foundation. Strong technical SEO background covering structure, linking, indexation, and entity clarity, with a track record of driving measurable outcomes through content and structural changes. You have demonstrably adapted SEO practice toward AI-era retrieval and synthesis.
Measurement and systems orientation. You define metrics, run experiments, and operationalize insights. You build repeatable workflows that connect data to action rather than producing one-off reports.
Cross-functional execution. You operate fluidly across web, product marketing, and demand generation, aligning stakeholders and driving execution. You will not have a single team handing you specs; you will need to synthesize direction from multiple stakeholders. Experience managing external agencies and contractors is required, and this role may grow to manage internal team members over time.
Content and narrative judgment. You translate complex technical concepts into clear, durable language and maintain message integrity as content moves across owned and earned surfaces.
Third-party authority strategy. Experience leveraging earned media, technical publications, and structured references to improve discoverability, with the judgment to identify which sources actually influence retrieval and citation.
Written communication. You produce clear measurement plans, technical documentation, and project updates in written form. At Teleport, we write things down. This is not optional.
AI-native workflow. You actively use AI tools to accelerate your work. This means more than casual chatbot use. You have hands-on experience integrating AI into your production workflow for testing, analysis, content evaluation, and execution. At Teleport, we are laser focused on using AI to ship faster, and we expect this role to operate the same way.
Responsibilities
Define and run a repeatable GEO measurement framework across priority queries and personas, tracking Inclusion Rate, Narrative Fidelity, and Generative Share of Voice
Maintain prompt and query libraries and a testing cadence across LLM surfaces
Evaluate how Teleport is retrieved and described in AI outputs, identify coverage and framing gaps, and translate findings into prioritized, testable actions
Monitor the technical architecture of our martech stack for GEO opportunities and blockers, and eliminate the speed bumps that interfere with GEO effectiveness
Partner with Corporate Marketing on site structure, clarity, and referenceable content for retrievability
Partner with Product Marketing to reinforce precise, durable concepts across product language and documentation, and to increase citation-quality assets in owned channels
Partner with Demand Generation to align distribution to high-value narratives and extend GEO-optimized content into channels that influence retrieval
Identify and prioritize high-authority sources influencing LLM outputs, and expand Teleport’s presence across third-party publications, structured knowledge formats, and durable referenceable assets
Drive placement of Teleport’s ideas and data in sources LLMs retrieve and cite, prioritizing citation quality over volume, in partnership with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and PR
Connect inputs, outputs, and outcomes across GEO metrics, feeding performance data back into message refinement, content prioritization, and distribution strategy
Establish a regular reporting cadence with measurable movement against goals
Nice To Have
Cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, or identity domain experience
Experience engaging technical buyers (CISOs, security architects, platform leaders)
Background in developer marketing or technical content strategy
Familiarity with structured data, schema, and knowledge graph concepts as they apply to LLM retrieval
Contributions to open-source documentation, technical publications, or standards bodies
Why This Role
Teleport is entering a new phase of product expansion. Beams, our trusted runtime for AI agents, is launching its MVP on April 30, 2026, and it won’t be the last new product. As AI mediates more of the discovery layer, the companies that get included, cited, and accurately represented will win. You will own that surface for Teleport. That’s backed by real momentum: 20,000+ GitHub stars, a 5,000-person Slack community, and enterprise customers including Tesla, NASDAQ, and Bloomberg.
Your impact will show up as increased inclusion and accuracy in AI-generated answers, stronger and more consistent representation of core narratives, measurable improvement in generative share of voice, and brand discovery that is predictable, optimizable, and compounding.
