Job Description
We are looking for a Market Access support engineer to join our client's team. This role is dedicated to Fixed Income products and involves providing day-to-day support and ensuring seamless market access operations
Within a team of 6, you will work in close partnership with a dedicated colleague specializing in UNIX, and act as a key point of contact for front office and other stakeholders. You will get exposure to front office, market connectivity, and high-challenging trading environments
Responsibilities
- Operate, administer, and continuously improve a high-performance, large-scale trading infrastructure built on state-of-the-art, low-latency technologies.
- Deliver prompt and effective resolution of complex, technical user issues and service requests.
- Monitor system performance, optimize processes, and manage capacity planning to meet stringent low-latency requirements.
- Manage in-house order routing, feed handlers, pre-trade checks, and trade reporting services to ensure seamless market access.
- Provide expert support to global traders executing diverse strategies across multiple asset classes.
- Collaborate closely with exchanges and trading venues to coordinate the implementation of new services and enhancements.
- Work in partnership with international technology teams to align solutions and share best practices.
- Drive the development and deployment of innovative Market Access solutions aligned with evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Fixed Income trading environments.
- Background in Market Access / Trading Support, ideally within a financial institution.
- Solid understanding of UNIX systems (to collaborate effectively with a UNIX specialist).
- Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, for automation and process improvement.
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and multicast.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to production stability.
- Mindset: Curious, proactive, excellent communication, quick learner, and strong team player.
- Fluency in English required; French is a plus.
