What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Country Manager to lead our Japan business, with responsibility for driving commercial growth, building high-performing teams, and strengthening our position in one of the world’s most important technology markets. This role combines strategic leadership and entrepreneurial execution. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology leader who can both shape long-term market strategy and roll up their sleeves to deliver results.
You will serve as the senior representative of the company in Japan, accountable for revenue, partnerships, operations, and people leadership, while working closely with global stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Market Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute a clear business strategy for Japan, aligned with global priorities, to deliver sustained revenue growth and market share expansion.

Revenue & Commercial Leadership
Drive sales execution, pipeline development, and customer success. Take full ownership of P&L, delivering against revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency targets.

Customer & Partner Ecosystem
Build and maintain trusted relationships with enterprise customers, system integrators, cloud providers, and channel partners. Develop the ecosystem to maximize market coverage and scale adoption.

Operational & Financial Excellence
Lead local operations, ensuring compliance with Japanese regulations, accurate forecasting, and disciplined financial management. Continuously improve processes for efficiency and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with global teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal to ensure a cohesive go-to-market approach tailored for Japan.

People & Culture Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing local team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

Brand Presence & Market Voice
Represent the company externally at industry events, customer forums, and with key stakeholders to build brand reputation and influence in the Japan market.
What you will bring:
12–15+ years of leadership experience in enterprise software, cloud, cybersecurity, or related technology sectors
Proven success as a Country Manager, Sales Leader, or P&L owner in Japan
Strong track record in complex enterprise sales, with experience scaling channel ecosystems and managing C-level relationships
Deep understanding of Japanese enterprise procurement practices, regulatory landscape, and business culture
Demonstrated ability to scale organisations, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution in high-growth or fast-changing environments
Fluent in Japanese, with strong business-level English
Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic acumen, commercial focus, and people leadership skills

Candidates who reside within 45 miles of one of our offices—or where the job description specifies a required location—will follow our hybrid work model.
