We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated senior AI Research Engineer to strengthen our Innovation team to help build the foundation of ScreenPoint’s future AI models. For this role we look for someone who can strengthen the team to develop and apply state-of-the-art methods (foundation models, vision transformer networks, multimodal models, large-language models), to solve a broad range of clinically relevant problems in breast cancer care in close collaboration with clinical experts.

You’ll be part of a highly motivated and ambitious group of experts in breast imaging, artificial intelligence and clinical research, who work closely together in an informal atmosphere to make our mission become a reality. You will work with a broad range of technologies and have the opportunity to learn and grow on a daily basis.

Job requirements

You are enthusiastic and highly motivated, with the demonstrated ability to develop real-world applicable (clinical) solutions with deep learning methods. Moreover, you are motivated to supervise interns and support and share knowledge with team members.

Furthermore, you have:

• A master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
• A solid understanding of deep learning and self-supervised training methods.
• At least 4 years of AI development experience building AI applications in the field of radiology using large datasets and GPU cluster.
• The drive to work in a clean coding environment and help others follow best practices.
• Excellent and effective all-round communication in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Cloud-based AI development, Docker containers.
• Experience with PyTorch, Tensorboard, Slurm.
• Experienced python developer in a professional coding environment
