Position Overview

The Administrative Assistant will provide direct support to the CEO and general office management in our McLean, VA office. This part-time role (20–25 hours per week) includes a mix of administrative, scheduling, and organizational tasks, as well as overseeing office operations such as supply management and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Support – Assist the CEO with calendar management, meeting coordination, prioritizing & tracking tasks, and other administrative needs.
  • Office Management – Oversee general office operations including restocking supplies, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a professional and efficient workplace.
  • Communication – Draft, review, and organize correspondence and meeting materials as needed.
  • Event and Meeting Support – Help coordinate team meetings, travel, client visits, and small company events.
  • Administrative Processes – Support filing, expense tracking, and other administrative systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Flexibility – Provide general support across the business as needs arise, helping the team stay organized and focused.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar support role
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in MS Office and GSuite and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional, reliable, and discreet, with strong interpersonal skills


Preferred:

  • Prior experience supporting executives or founders in a startup or high-growth company
  • Experience with office management tasks such as vendor management or expense tracking
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Calendly, Zoom, or similar platforms
