About the Role

Based in Austin, TX – Hybrid in-person office three days a week, Tues–Thurs (East Austin)

QuotaPath is looking for a talented and driven Sales Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be a crucial partner to our Account Executives, serving as the technical expert and product champion throughout the sales cycle. Your primary goal will be to help prospects understand how QuotaPath can simplify their most complex commission plans and bring clarity to their compensation processes.

The ideal candidate is a technical problem-solver who can confidently articulate value, configure customized solutions, and build trust with a variety of stakeholders. What You’ll Do

  • Become a Product Expert: Deeply understand the QuotaPath platform, its technical architecture, and its integration capabilities to effectively demonstrate its value.
  • Drive Technical Wins: Partner with Account Executives on discovery calls, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and design tailored solutions to meet prospect-specific needs.
  • Build Trusting Relationships: Engage with key technical and business stakeholders (including Sales Operations, Finance, and Sales Leaders) to understand their compensation challenges and show how QuotaPath solves them.
  • Configure and Customize: Build and present bespoke demo environments that accurately reflect complex commission plans, quota structures, and intricate data workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the critical link between the Sales and Implementation teams. You will ensure a smooth hand-off for new customers by documenting technical requirements, communicating the proposed solution, and setting clear expectations to guarantee a seamless and successful onboarding experience.
  • Simplify the Complex: Translate technical details of commission plan design and data integrations into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

About you

  • Experience: 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Implementation Specialist) at a B2B SaaS company. Experience with FinTech, SalesTech, or compensation-related software is a plus.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of technical systems, data structures, and APIs. You're comfortable with Excel modeling, and familiarity with SQL or a scripting language like Python is a bonus.
  • Integrations and Revenue Operations: Experience with system integrations, particularly with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other relevant business systems.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to deliver persuasive presentations and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solver Mentality: You enjoy dissecting complex business problems (like multi-layered commission plans) and designing elegant, effective solutions.
  • Collaborative: You thrive in a team-oriented environment and can effectively partner with sales, product, and engineering.
  • Adaptable: You are a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and excel in a dynamic, high-growth startup.
