Become our Fraud Lead France and help us build the best fraud management system in France. You will lead a team of 7 Fraud Experts in Barcelona and Paris while ensuring that we optimally protect our French customers from fraud.
As Fraud Lead France, you will work directly with Thibault, our Head of Fraud, and play a crucial role in making Qonto the leading fintech in Europe as we pursue our goal of one million SME customers by 2025.
👩💻🧑💻 As Fraud Lead France at Qonto, you will:
• Optimize team performance: Ensure SLA compliance with your 7-person team
• Manage compliance rate: Ensure accurate data transmission to Risk & Compliance and French authorities with a target rate of 95%+ compliance
• Lead knowledge transfer: Train Barcelona team members without extensive fraud backgrounds and establish professional standards
• Cross-market coordination: Implement consistent fraud rules, training, and processes across all markets
• Drive system improvements: Continuously optimize the French fraud defense system
🤔 What you can expect:
• Market/Team context: You will work in a specialized fraud team that has separated from AML to ensure the highest level of expertise. Our focus is on transaction monitoring and analysis, not e-commerce fraud
• Methodology: We rely on the "Qonto Way" with structured lean management tools, continuous improvement, and a "customer-first" approach to fraud prevention
• Tools: You will work with state-of-the-art fraud detection systems, analytics tools, and have direct access to our Risk & Compliance team and internal controls
🤝 About your future manager
You will work directly with Thibault Mosser, our Head of Fraud, who has been with Qonto for 6 years and has led the fraud team through an impressive growth phase. He has led the successful separation of Fraud and AML and implemented modern fraud detection systems. Thibault is known for his supportive leadership style that grants teams great autonomy, and brings deep understanding of international fraud management. With him as your manager, you will benefit from a leader who understands both operational details and strategic direction.
🏅 About you
• Fraud expertise: Experience in transaction monitoring (not e-commerce fraud) and document analysis, ideally in fintech or established financial institutions
• Leadership: You have proven experience leading a team of at least 5 people.
• BNPL knowledge: Experience with Buy Now Pay Later or other financing solutions for cross-market ownership is a plus
• Language skills: C1 level in English and French for communication with French stakeholders and authorities
• Problem-solving mentality: Hands-on approach with the ability to be strict when necessary, and culturally aligned with Qonto's customer-oriented approach
