About This Role

qbiq is pioneering a new category in the real estate industry with the first-ever Architectural AI platform. By automating and democratizing architectural capabilities, qbiq enables non-designers and designers alike to plan, visualize, and optimize any space in minutes.

Backed by top-tier VCs, qbiq has already planned over 600 million square feet in less than two years for global industry leaders such as Brookfield, JLL, Skanska, IWG, and more.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Algorithm Engineer with deep expertise in computational geometry and 3D algorithms to lead the mathematical and geometric engine behind qbiq’s platform.

In this hands-on, high-impact role, you’ll design, implement, and optimize advanced geometry and 3D algorithms that power our core capabilities—directly improving accuracy, performance, and scalability as we grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced computational geometry algorithms
  • Own the mathematical core of key product components from concept to production
  • Work on performance-critical systems with high precision and scalability requirements
  • Refactor, extend, and stabilize complex, long-lived algorithmic codebases
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams
  • Influence architectural decisions for algorithmic and backend systems
  • Contribute to cloud-based and high-performance solutions, including GPU-based approaches when relevant

Requirements

  • BSc / MSc in Engineering / CS degree
  • +5 years experience
  • Extensive experience in computational geometry and algorithm development
  • Strong academic background in mathematics, computer science, or engineering
  • Proven experience building geometry-heavy systems in production
  • Deep hands-on experience with 2D and 3D algorithms and geometric modeling
  • Strong programming skills in Python (Must) and JavaScript (Advantage)
  • Experience with performance-sensitive and large-scale systems
  • Ability to independently own complex algorithmic problems end to end
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, product-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CAD, CAM, or 3D printing systems
  • Experience with Computer Vision, image processing, or calibration algorithms
  • Experience with slicing, nesting, placement, or layout optimization
  • Experience with GPU acceleration or high-performance computing
  • Leadership or mentoring experience in algorithmic or R&D teams

Why qbiq

  • Join a team of experts in computational geometry and 3D algorithms, and take on truly hard geometric challenges—pushing beyond standard approaches to solve problems that haven’t been cracked before.
