Position Summary:
Prose is looking for an experienced, detail-driven Senior Director of Quality to lead our end-to-end quality strategy across our Brooklyn, NY and other manufacturing facilities. This leadership
role will oversee Quality Management Systems, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Microbiology, Customer Complaints, and Regulatory Compliance, while fostering a proactive culture of quality and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, deep experience in regulated manufacturing environments (GMP, ISO 22716), and an ability to lead and inspire cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust, compliant QMS that aligns with GMP, ISO 22716, and FDA regulatory standards.
- Ensure quality policies, SOPs, and documentation are current, effective, and followed across both manufacturing sites.
- Lead quality governance reviews and ensure that all processes are audit-ready at all times.
- Drive risk management practices and promote a preventive quality culture throughout the organization.
- Quality Control Oversight
- Manage and oversee quality control operations for incoming product testing and finished goods releases at both facilities.
- Ensure QC processes align with internal specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Review lab data, batch records, and release documentation to support timely and compliant product release.
- Supplier Quality Management
- Lead the qualification, auditing, and performance monitoring of all external suppliers and vendors.Implement raw material inspection protocols and drive issue resolution with suppliers to maintain consistent material quality.
- Partner with Procurement to build strong, accountable supplier relationships and continuously improve incoming material quality.
- Micro Lab Management
- Oversee the operation of the rapid microbiological testing lab, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient workflows.
- Investigate microbiological issues and implement preventive practices to minimize contamination risk.
- Maintain best-in-class documentation and reporting in line with GMP and ISO standards.
- Customer Complaints and Non-Conformance
- Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformance issues, and deviations.
- Own the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process—driving root cause analysis,timely action, and effective resolution.
- Identify and communicate key learnings across teams to prevent recurrence.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Leverage daily dashboards and quality inspection data to monitor performance across both sites.
- Analyze KPIs and trends to proactively identify and address quality risks.
- Develop and present routine quality performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and opportunities.
- Internal Auditing and CAPA
- Analyze the internal audits findings to assess compliance with internal and regulatory quality standards.
- Manage the lifecycle of CAPAs—from initiation through verification of effectiveness.
- Prepare for and support external inspections and audits as needed.
- Staff Management
- Lead and develop the QA/QC teams at both LA and Brooklyn sites, fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
- Ensure teams are properly trained and consistently applying quality standards and procedures.
- Set clear expectations and goals aligned with Prose’s quality vision.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, R&D, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to integrate quality into every phase of the product lifecycle.
- Act as a key quality liaison in cross-functional initiatives, including new product launches and process improvement efforts.
- Promote a quality-first mindset across the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO) preferred. - Minimum of 8+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, including 3+
years in a managerial role. - Proven experience managing microbiological testing and investigations, particularly in a
rapid micro lab environment. - Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, dashboard management, and
internal auditing. - Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement
effective CAPA. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing teams across
multiple locations. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive continuous
improvement.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $195,000 (+10% discretionary bonus and equity). Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills. This role will be an in-office position based out of our Liberty View facility in Brooklyn and the expectation is that this person will be in the office 5 days per week to be aligned with the manufacturing schedules.
