Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Analyst for the Pricing and Monetization team. This role requires a unique combination of analytical expertise and operational hands-on execution to optimize pricing models and provide data driven insights to improve business results.
The ideal candidate is an analytical and collaborative professional with a willingness to learn Precisely’s diverse product portfolio. You will manage our pricing calculators and dashboards while working on key pricing initiatives to support pricing decisions and revenue opportunities. Experience in conducting primary market research and commercial or go-to-market work is beneficial, along with proficiency in data manipulation, visualization, and financial modeling.
This position reports to the Manager of Pricing and Monetization and collaborates closely with leaders across the organization, including Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success. What you will do:
- Data analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, customer segmentation, and company costs to inform pricing decisions and strategies.
- Maintain pricing calculators to ensure accuracy during quarterly price book updates, pricing strategy adjustments, and product changes.
- Performance monitoring: Monitor and report on pricing performance, profitability metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and implement interactive dashboards to inform pricing decisions and track performance metrics effectively.
- Create compelling presentations for senior leadership, ensuring accuracy in data representation and providing actionable, insights-driven recommendations.
- Market research: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for price adjustments, promotional pricing, or new product introductions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate the successful introduction of new products, from ideation to launch, while also experimenting with and simplifying existing constructs. Collaborate with Sales Enablement and pricing education.
What we are looking for:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a field like business, finance, marketing, or a related area. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in Pricing and Monetization in the Technology sector. Enterprise Software and Usage based pricing a plus. Management Consulting experience is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong hands-on analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis, strong knowledge of Tableau for data visualization, and expertise in PowerPoint for creating presentations. Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to present findings and recommendations to management.
- Attention to detail: The role requires a high level of attention to detail, especially when working with large datasets and financial models.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving and Intellectually curious: Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement effective solutions. Skilled at understanding complex business problems and scenarios; curious to find innovative solutions.
- Self-Starter and Agile: A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities. Willing / “can do” attitude and enthusiasm.
