Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Payroll Specialist to manage and execute payroll processes across multiple countries, with a particular focus on Poland and the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of local payroll legislation, time tracking regulations, official reporting obligations in both jurisdictions., Pension contribution processing, Advanced Excel skills. You will work closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.
What you will do:
- Manage end-to-end Global Payroll processing across assigned countries, with a focus on Poland and the United Kingdom.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with local tax and labor laws, and timely payments.
- Liaise with local payroll providers and government authorities as necessary.
- Interpret and apply country-specific payroll legislation, including statutory benefits, deductions, and year-end processes.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Oversee and validate time tracking systems and processes to ensure legal compliance with local regulations in each jurisdiction.
- Prepare and submit all statutory filings and official payroll reports, including PAYE (UK), ZUS (Poland), P60s, P45s, PIT declarations, and others.
- Act as the point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes, ensuring adherence to global best practices and local compliance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on payroll operations.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in a global payroll function, with direct experience processing UK and Polish payrolls.
- Strong understanding of UK HMRC regulations and Polish payroll legislation including ZUS, PIT, and time tracking obligations.
- Experience with time and attendance systems and knowledge of local labor code rules related to working hours and overtime.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms (e.g., ADP Streamline, UKG, DEEL, or equivalent).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills, Strong command of Excel
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in English; Polish language skills are a significant plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-country, multinational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in payroll (e.g., CIPP, FPC, or local equivalents).
- Experience integrating payroll systems with HRIS or accounting platforms.
- Experience supporting audits and dealing with local tax authorities or labor offices.
