Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Growth, AI Enablement, a hands-on, ROI-driven operator who will embed AI and agentic workflows across the organization.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys working across technical and non-technical teams (including international ones), and knows how to deploy and manage third-party partners to get things done efficiently.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll collaborate with Engineering, Sales & Marketing, IT, and the Medical teams to implement, automate, and scale agentic systems that save time, reduce costs, and accelerate growth.
This is a builder–doer role, focused on tangible results. You’ll work hybrid, spending at least 8–10 days per month on-site in Los Angeles to collaborate deeply, pilot new workflows, and ensure adoption.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI & Agentic Workflow Integration
- Identify, design, and deploy agentic workflows across departments — autonomous or semi-autonomous systems that accelerate internal operations, decision-making, and communication.
- Implement AI agents that perform key internal functions such as lead generation, reporting, quality control, or document processing, while maintaining human-in-the-loop oversight.
- Translate existing manual processes into automated, data-driven workflows with measurable impact.
- Create and maintain internal documentation and feedback systems to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.
2. Execution, Implementation & Vendor Management
- Personally configure and prototype third-party AI tools and frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, crewAI, Zapier, Make, HubSpot, Notion AI).
- Lead the deployment of external vendors or engineering partners, ensuring fast, cost-effective delivery.
- Manage projects from concept to ROI validation, maintaining accountability for financial and time-based outcomes.
- Build lightweight dashboards and reports to quantify impact and adoption across teams.
3. Cross-Team & International Collaboration
- Collaborate on-site with teams (8–10 days/month) to identify pain points, co-develop solutions, and drive AI adoption.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with international and distributed teams across time zones.
- Deliver workshops and demos to build trust and fluency with AI and automation tools.
4. ROI Measurement & Reporting
- Establish KPIs for all AI initiatives, quantifying both time savings and $$ ROI.
- Maintain dashboards showing company-wide AI adoption and performance.
- Report directly to the CEO on impact, insights, and next-phase opportunities.
- Prioritize projects based on demonstrable business value.
Qualifications
Who You Are
- Experienced in startup or growth-stage environments, where you’ve built and delivered hands-on automation or AI projects.
- Deep understanding of AI agent frameworks, automation platforms, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Comfortable working with international teams and managing external vendors or contractors.
- A builder, problem-solver, and communicator — equally effective with engineers, marketers, and scientists.
- Obsessed with measurable results — you think in terms of hours saved, revenue lifted, or costs reduced.
- Naturally collaborative, empathetic, and adaptable — able to bring others along during change.
- Excited to engage in person 8–10 days/month to accelerate adoption and execution.
Success Metrics
- 3 months: Deploy at least two high-impact agentic workflows with measurable ROI.
- 6 months: Establish internal dashboards to track and communicate efficiency and ROI improvements.
- 12 months: Drive organization-wide adoption of AI and agentic systems with demonstrable business outcomes.
What We Offer
- A fast-moving organization that rapidly scales your successful AI pilots across departments — quick turnaround from proof of concept to full implementation.
- Direct access to the CEO and executive team, with visibility and ownership over company-wide impact.
- Opportunity to shape how a cutting-edge medtech startup operates, grows, and leverages AI across every function.
- A collaborative environment where your ideas translate into real organizational transformation within weeks, not months.
- Competitive compensation, equity participation, and a culture built around curiosity, velocity, and measurable outcomes.
