Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated intern, preferably with a background in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field, to support our histology and digital pathology workflows. This position is part time with a flexible schedule and it is ideal for students or recent graduates who are interested in laboratory operations, pathology, digital imaging technologies and A.I.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and catalog histology materials, including formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) blocks and glass slides.
  • Print and apply slide labels accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain and update the inventory of histology materials to ensure proper tracking and accessibility.
  • Coordinate receiving of material and inventory.
  • Digitize tissue slides using whole slide scanners, ensuring high-quality image capture and proper data storage.
  • Assist with quality control of scanned slides and file management.
  • Support routine lab organization, record-keeping, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in biology, biomedical sciences, or related life science field.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable handling and tracking large volumes of samples and data.
  • Basic understanding of histology or pathology workflows is a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital imaging or data management systems is desirable but not required (training will be provided).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
