Role Overview
The Procurement Leader will provide strategic leadership and vision for PDI’s global sourcing and procurement operations. This executive role is accountable for developing world-class procurement strategies that deliver cost efficiency, supply assurance, risk mitigation, and supplier innovation across all regions.
The Procurement Leader will partner with the executive leadership team to align procurement goals with PDI’s broader business objectives, foster high-performance supplier relationships, and lead procurement transformation initiatives that leverage technology, analytics, and process excellence. This role requires a proven leader who can influence at the highest levels, drive change across a matrixed global organization, and deliver measurable results in a dynamic, technology-driven business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global procurement vision and strategy aligned with corporate goals and operational priorities.
- Oversee strategic sourcing initiatives across all business units to deliver sustained cost savings, quality improvements, and innovation.
- Lead executive-level vendor negotiations, contract structuring, and supplier relationship management for high-value and strategic categories.
- Collaborate with C-level leaders and functional heads (Legal, Finance, IT, HR, Operations) to integrate procurement strategies into enterprise planning.
- Establish governance frameworks, procurement policies, and compliance standards to reduce risk and ensure operational transparency.
- Champion procurement transformation initiatives, including advanced analytics, process automation, and ERP/procurement technology adoption.
- Monitor global market trends, supply chain risks, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions and enhance resilience.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance scorecards to track organizational impact and communicate results to the executive team and Board.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global procurement team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure contractual and operational adherence to all critical supplier agreements.
Qualifications
- 12–15+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or executive role managing global operations.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise-level sourcing strategies across multiple regions and business units.
- Proven expertise in high-value vendor negotiations, contract development, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong track record of influencing executive stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment in complex organizations.
- Deep understanding of procurement technologies, spend analytics, ERP systems, and process automation tools.
- Experience within technology, software, SaaS, or other complex services industries strongly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
