Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a key role in the early stages of our sales process by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This entry-level position also offers exposure to sales operations processes, providing support in administrative tasks that ensure smooth execution of sales activities. While your primary focus will be on lead generation and pipeline development, you’ll assist the Sales Ops team as needed—gaining valuable cross-functional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and engage potential clients through outbound calls, emails, and social channels.
- Qualify leads by understanding business challenges and determining fit for PDI’s offerings.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop lead generation strategies.
- Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate data and activity records in CRM (Salesforce).
- Follow up on inbound marketing-generated leads in a timely manner.
- Support sales operations by assisting with data entry, quote documentation, or CRM hygiene during high-volume periods.
- Generate or update reports and dashboards as requested by Sales or Sales Ops leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback on outreach campaigns.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, sales operations, or related roles.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS sales environments preferred.
