Introduction

Optimizely is seeking a Product Designer II to join the Platform team, helping shape the unified experiences that power Optimizely One across our product ecosystem.

Platform sits at the center of Optimizely’s product strategy. The team works on shared platform services, unified product experiences, and emerging AI-assisted and agentic workflows that help customers to be more self-served.

This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys complex product spaces, system-level thinking, and workflows that connect multiple products, capabilities, and user types. You will help make platform experiences clearer, more connected, and easier to use across the Optimizely ecosystem.

As AI becomes a bigger part of how customers interact with content, data, and digital experiences, Platform is evolving to support more intelligent, contextual, and composable workflows. You will help shape how these capabilities show up in the product experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design user flows, prototypes, and final UI for shared platform services.
  • Translate technical requirements, system constraints, and cross-product dependencies into clear, usable customer experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to understand customer problems, technical dependencies, and delivery trade-offs.
  • Communicate design intent, product logic, trade-offs, and rationale to cross-functional partners.
  • Participate in discovery activities including customer interviews, workflow mapping, research synthesis, and problem framing.
  • Support iterative validation through prototyping, usability testing, and feedback loops with internal and external users.
  • Work with fellow designers to maintain and evolve shared design patterns and system components across Platform.
  • Stay informed about trends in SaaS platforms, unified product experiences, and AI-assisted product workflows.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3 to 4 years of design experience working on digital products, SaaS platforms, or complex B2B product experiences.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design, visual craft, and problem solving across complex workflows.
  • Experience designing logic-heavy, systems-oriented, or cross-product experiences.
  • Ability to connect design decisions to user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with comfort presenting work to peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with component libraries or design systems.
  • Growth mindset with eagerness to learn, iterate, and take ownership of your craft.
  • Interest in or early experience with shared platform services, unified product experiences, technical workflows, or AI-assisted product features.

Why You Will Love Working Here

  • Help shape the next generation of Platform products and power integrations across the ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with talented designers and cross-functional partners across Vietnam, Europe, and the U.S.
  • Learn directly from senior designers while owning meaningful product areas with real customer impact
  • Be part of a global team culture that values creativity, quality, and continuous improvement
