Director of Quality Engineering

The Challenge
At OneTrust, we are evolving our Quality Engineering function from a traditionaltesting model to a modern quality enablement model. Our goal is to embed quality directly into engineering workflows throughautomation, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable testing frameworks, allowing teams to ship faster while maintaining high standards of reliability.We are looking for a leader who hasalready driven this type of transformation— someone who understands how to move teams from slower, monolithic delivery models towardmodern, CI/CD-driven development with strong quality governance and measurable engineering outcomes.This role will help definewhat great quality engineering looks like at scaleand enable our teams to consistently deliver high-quality products to our customers.
Your Mission

Lead the evolution of Quality Engineering into astrategic enablement function across engineering

Drive the adoption ofautomation-first testing practices and CI/CD quality gates

Define and implementquality engineering standards, governance, and best practices

Partner closely with engineering leadership to improvedelivery velocity, predictability, and product quality

Establish scalabletest architecture, frameworks, and automation strategies

Introduce and leveragemodern engineering metrics (e.g., DORA metrics)to measure and improve performance

Act as aquality evangelist, influencing teams and driving adoption of modern engineering practices

You Are

Atechnical leader with 15+ years of experiencein software engineering or quality engineering

Someone who hassuccessfully led a quality transformationin a modern engineering environment

Experienced in implementingCI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and modern testing strategies

Comfortable partnering with engineering leaders and definingstandards, frameworks, and governance

Astrong communicator and storytellerwho can simplify complex processes and influence teams

A critical thinker who challenges the status quo and bringsnew ideas, tools, and practices

Extra Awesome

Experience scaling quality engineering acrosslarge, distributed engineering teams

Exposure tocloud-native architectures and modern engineering platforms

Experience operationalizingengineering performance metrics such as DORA

Strong background intest architecture, automation frameworks, and modern QE tooling

A passion for buildinghigh-performing engineering cultures centered around quality
