WORK ENVIRONMENT:
We are a remote first company with the exception of a few positions being onsite in our designated locations. The positions which are remote you will need to be able to travel a few times a year. You may be required at times to visit client sites or attend meetings at designated locations with your team members.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting Nymbus’ Director of Compliance with the ongoing development, review, and execution of its operational compliance function. This analyst will be accountable for projects, reviews and activities that facilitate compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to Nymbus’ digital banking clients. They will help assist the Director of Compliance in identifying gaps and executing solutions using a risk-focused lens, and work to improve internal processes and procedures as they relate to compliance.
Nymbus will look to this Analyst for the active identification, response and escalation to the Director of Compliance of compliance risks found during reviews, regulatory change management and monitoring as appropriate. This role will give someone the opportunity to help influence policies and procedures to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure. This analyst will have the ability to work cross functionally and foster relationships between the lines of business and the lines of defense to create a collaborative environment for their team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Director of Compliance in maintaining compliance-related programs for operating line of business functions, including but not limited to compliance monitoring, internal control testing and preparation of written reports (compliance review reports, quarterly/monthly client updates, etc).
- Perform compliance reviews based on predetermined compliance review schedule (and as needed) and report results to the Director of Compliance for further escalation.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of corrective actions to address compliance-related issues revealed during compliance reviews, monitoring activities, internal audits, and independent audits or third-party service provider examinations. Provide regular updates to the Director of Compliance.
- Assist in the review of marketing and advertising, annual review of departmental policies and procedures, and response to complaints as assigned.
- Responsible for monthly complaint and service issue reporting and trend analysis for digital clients.
- Monitor regulatory change through internal systems, governmental and regulatory guidance, etc. and suggest enhancements to internal procedures in order to comply with new regulations or changes to existing regulations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and the Director of Compliance to develop content and help execute training programs for regulatory issues and continued embedded compliance focused training.
- Work cross functionally to help manage and monitor compliance related issues and action item requests made through internal and external avenues.
- Help support new product development, and act as a supplemental resource for regulatory compliance requirements. Works with product owners to implement enhancements to product offerings as directed by the Director of Compliance as well as executive leadership.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance related to the banking products and services offered by Nymbus on behalf of client financial institutions and fintech partners.
- Gather evidence and provide summaries of response for client audit requests as well as annual third-party audits for the company.
- Perform Third-Party Risk Management related tasks as assigned by the Director of Compliance.
- Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some college, with preference for Business, Accounting, or Finance-Related concentrations preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, or Risk roles.
- Audit or Compliance certification preferred.
- Past experience working with financial institutions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal regulatory requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective public presentation skills.
- Diligent Time Management and analytical skills.
- Process and detail oriented.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
- $60,000 - $70,000 Annual Salary
