Why This Role Matters...

At Nutrient, we believe documentation is as important as product development. Documentation is often the first impression for developers and their preferred path to determining what their experience will be like to build on top of our software. As the Technical Documentation Lead, you will lead our documentation efforts, as we continuously strive to provide a seamless journey for developers whether they are evaluating our products, are new customers building their first implementation, or are existing customers seeking to upgrade or expand functionality.

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive documentation strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and improves the developer’s experience.
• Create, manage, and execute the documentation roadmap by working closely with product management and other relevant teams to identify relevant content for new and existing functionality.
• Coordinate, oversee, and participate in the development of high-quality technical content in collaboration with the engineering teams. Provide them guidance to maintain high documentation standards following a clear information architecture that provides consistency and clarity across technical guides, code samples, and API references.
• Leverage data to inform optimization strategies and drive inbound traffic in coordination with our marketing team. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, such as trials and leads originating from documentation.
• Spearhead the continuous improvement of our documentation process, guaranteeing quality standards remain met without introducing obstacles to the speed, agility, and ease of documentation creation.
• Stay up to speed with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the documentation space, including GenAI, and find ways to leverage them to improve the experience.
• Optimize the customer onboarding journey, providing the best possible developer experience.

Requirements

• A background in technical writing, communications, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in drafting and executing technical documentation and content strategy.
• Strong understanding of documentation processes and best practices in the developer tools space.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
• Ability to lead and implement documentation strategy initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with software engineering (especially web development - JavaScript / React).
• Prior experience in drafting documentation for developer tools, projects and/or products.
• Familiarity with document management systems and data analysis tools.
