Legal Operations Associate

NMI has an exciting new opportunity for a Legal Operations Associate to join the legal team based in one of our offices or remotely. The Legal Operations Associate will be responsible for supporting legal operations and processes including legal systems and software, business objectives, legal documents and contracts, and reporting KPIs to establish legal efforts and performance. The ideal candidate is someone who loves to create and streamline processes, is a great problem solver, and prioritizes high impact results (over just crossing things off of the list). We are open to all backgrounds, including those with paralegal experience, operations experience (within legal and outside of legal),and/ or demonstrated experience in supporting fast-growing teams. Legal Operations Associate Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for all implementations and maintenance of legal-related software/tech/
- Serve as company’s Ironclad administrator (our contract management system); create new workflow, executes on required changes, improve upon company-wide use and adoption, and coordinate integrations with other systems, including Salesforce.
- Manage cross functional legal projects as the project manager.
- Own maintenance of company-facing internal legal team and knowledge base (run on Confluence), including best practices, documenting processes, and how-to guides.
- Respond to routine legal department requests, including customer inquiries and other administrative matters as needed
- Routine customer order form review/edits with assistance of legal counsel and in consultation with internal business partners; coordinate agreement execution process
- Draft, update and coordinate related corporate policy documents and/or contract playbooks, in consultation with legal counsel
- Support corporate records retention and maintenance, in consultation with company’s Paralegal
- Support various projects and initiatives led by the legal department
Requirements
- 3-5 Years of experience - ideal backgrounds include those with legal or operations experience (legal operations or other departments) and mastery over related technical tools.
- Experience with Ironclad is required (please list on resume)
- Experience with Confluence and Salesforce is highly preferred (if applicable, please list on resume)
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills and attention to detail
- Technical expertise to implement and maintain legal software (contract management systems, billing systems)
- Research, investigation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service attitude
- Bachelor’s Degree
