Senior Solution Architect (.NET / Azure)
Nexus Cognitive
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Solution Architect (.NET / Azure) with deep expertise in solution discovery, design, and implementation. In this role, you will play a key part in partnering with Nexus team members and our clients to understand business needs, define and design scalable solutions, and oversee technical delivery.
You will be responsible for architecture and design across the full stack—covering backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers—while ensuring best practices, quality standards, and maintainability. You will also contribute to reusable IP, architecture patterns, and internal standards that enhance delivery excellence.
This role requires someone equally comfortable engaging with clients, leading technical discussions, and being hands-on with design and development when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to gather and refine technical requirements through working sessions and consultations.
- Design and implement cloud-based architectures and patterns, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS is a plus).
- Define and document database and table architecture using MS SQL Server.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a working understanding of Docker and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Apply and enforce frontend and backend design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Write technical specifications and design documents that outline scalable, cost-effective, and maintainable solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, identify and manage technical debt, and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
- Participate hands-on in development activities, particularly in smaller or solo-dev projects.
- Lead teams, mentor developers (onshore and offshore), and step in to manage delivery in the absence of other leads or PMs.
- Promote agile values and SCRUM framework principles across teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve processes, tools, and architecture strategies.
- Strong proficiency in C# (C#9 or later) and .NET 6.0 framework.
- Experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL for database design and development.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js and React on the frontend.
- Deep knowledge of ASP.NET Core and building RESTful APIs.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially Azure (experience with AWS, S3, EC2 also beneficial).
- Familiarity with Datadog or similar observability/monitoring tools.
- Experience integrating SSO (Single Sign-On) and working with secure or air-gapped environments.
- Understanding of software development best practices and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience managing client relationships in a consulting or customer-facing role.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, balance client expectations, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solution Architect Certification in Azure (preferred) or AWS.
- Experience using Datadog or other monitoring/alerting tools for performance management.
- Previous project management or team leadership experience.
- Proven ability to conduct and host client workshops for technical discovery and solution alignment.
- Experience contributing to reusable IP, best practices, and internal technical frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a well-rounded architect—someone who can bridge technical depth with strong communication, leadership, and consulting skills. The ideal candidate is flexible in meeting client needs, thrives in dynamic environments, and can balance architectural oversight with hands-on contributions when required.
