Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative, flexible pricing frameworks that reflect customer value and evolving usage patterns (e.g., tiered pricing, user-based pricing, intelligence consumption models) by continuously evaluating the company’s global pricing and packaging strategy across the full suite of nCino products and solutions.
- Align pricing strategy with product-market fit, business models (SaaS, usage-based, outcome-based), and customer segmentation.
- Partner with Executive Leadership and cross-functional groups to gain alignment and approval on pricing initiatives, provide regular updates on key business outcome and monetization strategies.
- Partner with Finance, Legal and Revenue Operations to build robust pricing models and forecasting tools to evaluate the financial impact of pricing changes to define clear discounting frameworks, promotional strategies, and annual price increase mechanisms.
- Enable Go-To-Market (GTM) teams—including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success —with effective communication, training, and collateral to support pricing rollout and deal execution.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering, Sales and Customer Success to ensure pricing is informed by product capabilities and customer feedback and expectations.
- Apply a test-and-learn approach, using A/B testing, pilots, and customer interviews to evaluate and validate new pricing strategies.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions and identify trends across regions and verticals.
- Analyze customer adoption, deal velocity, churn, expansion, and other monetization metrics to guide pricing decisions.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing effectiveness, margin performance, and revenue realization.
- Establish and maintain pricing governance standards to ensure global consistency, transparency, and scalability. Ensure that pricing strategies are clearly documented, communicated, and adopted across all relevant business units and geographies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 12+ years of business experience, including at least 5 years in SaaS pricing strategy, product monetization, or strategic finance.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing complex pricing models in a high-growth, customer-centric organization.
- Expertise in pricing methodologies (e.g., cost-plus, value-based, tiered, usage-based, outcome-based).
- Strong command of financial modeling, pricing elasticity, cohort analysis, and sensitivity modeling.
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and tell a clear pricing story to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience driving cross-regional alignment and supporting global GTM functions.
- Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable diving into the data as they are presenting to executives.
- Operates with a growth mindset, continuous improvement philosophy, and a deep commitment to delivering customer value.

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:
