We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to manage and optimize our accounts payable operations. This role involves overseeing the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining relationships with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Accounts Payable Manager will also collaborate with procurement team to streamline processes, improve cash flow, and enhance internal controls. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounts payable, leadership, and technology systems, with a focus on continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating staff.
  • Oversee accounts payable functions such as processing expense reports, issuing checks, and managing vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage Concur Expense workflows, including processing expenses, reimbursements, and invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Onboard and offboard employees by setting up and closing Concur profiles as needed.
  • Oversee company credit card usage and reconcile related transactions in Brex and Concur Expense.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with reporting requirements, including 1099 year-end reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statements related to Concur transactions and vendor payments.
  • Generate and review accounts payable reports, including aging analysis, and provide insights to management.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize the purchase-to-pay cycle and ensure alignment with supplier contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving discrepancies and negotiating payment terms.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards (SOX).
  • Develop and enforce department policies and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance department performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual reports and the annual audit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Experience with procurement processes and collaboration with other departments to streamline workflows.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and continuous process improvement.

Nice-to-Have (Desired) Experience:

  • Proficiency with Netsuite (accounting software)
  • Proficiency with Brex (corporate credit cards)
  • Proficiency with Concur Expense (corporate expense reimbursement)
  • Proficiency with Yearli (1099 reporting)

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:

$65,800.00 - $108,600.00
