Investor Operations Analyst (m/f/d)

We are looking for a versatile Investor Operations Analyst to join our team. This role is central to our mission: delivering a seamless, frictionless, and compliant journey from initial onboarding to distribution payments.

As the first line of defense for investor lifecycle operations (KYC/AML, professionalisation, payments), you will own the operational execution and oversight of our outsourced partners. You will ensure our platform maintains the highest integrity across German and Luxembourgish standards, balancing rigorous regulatory compliance with an exceptional experience for our investors.

You will:

Investor Onboarding & AML Oversight

  • Act as the primary point of contact and oversight lead for our external Luxembourgish KYC/AML service providers, holding them accountable for quality and speed.
  • Ensure all onboarding meets both Luxembourgish fund standards (CSSF) and German regulatory standards (BaFin/GwG).
  • Solve for complex investor structures (Trusts, SPVs) by identifying creative yet compliant document solutions, ensuring we meet regulatory standards without compromising the investor experience.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in the onboarding workflow and partner with Product teams to implement automated solutions that reduce friction.

Qualification & Professionalisation

  • Oversee MiFID II appropriateness testing and professionalisation checks to ensure all investors remain platform-qualified.
  • Resolve intricate investor queries regarding legal entities and high-net-worth onboarding, acting as the "bridge" between the investor and the compliance framework.

Payment Operations

  • Support the technical execution of distributions and the reconciliation of investor-level capital calls with 100% financial precision.
  • Partner with Product and Tech teams to automate document collection and streamline payment workflows.

Audit & Risk Mitigation

  • Maintain a rigorous, investor-level audit trail that meets internal SOPs and external regulatory scrutiny.
  • Monitor account activity to proactively flag and escalate suspicious activities or high-risk cases to our 2nd line of defense (Compliance Team).

The Next Moonfarian:

  • Experience: 1–2 years of full-time experience in an AML/KYC or operations role within financial services or fintech.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of AML/KYC frameworks (e.g., FATF, EU AML Directives). Ability to translate abstract German (GwG) and Luxembourgish (CSSF) requirements into clear, actionable instructions for both investors and internal stakeholders is a plus.
  • Pragmatic Problem Solver: You don’t just identify a "missing document"; you proactively research and suggest alternative ways to verify information. You possess the judgment to distinguish between a hard regulatory "no" and a complex "how-to."
  • Critical & Outside-the-Box Thinking: You understand the intent behind the regulation (the "why"), allowing you to find compliant paths for non-standard cases rather than just strictly applying a checklist.
  • Collaborative Gatekeeper: You see yourself as a partner to the Growth and Product teams, working together to remove friction while maintaining our "First Line of Defense" integrity.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working with structured data and passionate about using tools (e.g., HubSpot, ComplyAdvantage) and AI to improve manual processes.

It’s a plus if you have…

  • Familiarity with private equity or fund operations structures.
  • Experience with reconciliation workflows or payments monitoring tools.
  • Experience working with fund administrators, custodian banks, or in a multi-jurisdictional compliance environment.
