Strategic Finance - Commercial, Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for a commercially minded, analytically sharp Strategic Finance - Commercial Manager to join our Finance team. In this high-impact role, you will partner closely with commercial leaders across the business to understand performance, steer strategic decisions, and deliver revenue growth. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial narrative, leading data-driven planning, and designing insights that drive profitable execution.

You will:

  • Own commercial forecasting and planning, leading the revenue budgeting and re-forecasting cycle and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and financial discipline
  • Drive performance reporting and insights by analysing trends, customer segments, funnel metrics, pricing and unit economics to identify opportunities and risks
  • Act as the analytical backbone for commercial decision-making, building financial models and evaluating business cases that guide go-to-market strategy, pricing, resource allocation and investment choices
  • Transform complex commercial data into clear, actionable insights that set direction and support leadership, commercial teams and the board
  • Develop and automate reporting frameworks, preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly dashboards with increasing speed, reliability and transparency
  • Steer revenue optimisation by identifying performance drivers and feeding insights directly into commercial initiatives
  • Champion budgeting discipline through KPI tracking, scenario planning and structured financial modelling
  • Manage, mentor and inspire a small team, building a high-performing team culture, elevating analytical capabilities and accelerating their professional development

The next Moonfarian:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, strategic analytics or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • Strong grasp of revenue forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and performance dashboards
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools and EPM systems (Pigment, Anaplan, etc. is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English; German is a plus but not required
  • High analytical rigor paired with strong storytelling and presentation skills
  • Ownership mindset with high attention to detail; proactive, motivated and outcome-focused
  • Experience mentoring or coaching others and contributing to a high-performing team culture
