Fund Operations Analyst - Tax Operations (m/f/d)
We’re looking for a proactive Fund Operations Analyst with a keen interest in tax to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the tax-related aspects of fund operations, with a particular focus on ensuring compliance across international tax regulations and private equity fund structures. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to help manage complex fund structures and tax reporting processes in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
You will:
- Support fund tax compliance processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for FATCA, CRS, and other international tax reporting obligations.
- Assist with the preparation of tax documentation, regulatory filings, and investor tax reports, particularly across Luxembourg and other key jurisdictions.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of private equity and alternative investment fund structures, with a focus on tax-related workflows and reporting.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, fund administrators, tax advisors, and external partners to facilitate fund operations and tax processes.
- Maintain accurate records and support the documentation requirements for tax and regulatory compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and increase efficiency within tax-related fund operations.
- Act as a point of contact for tax-related queries from internal stakeholders and external partners.
The next Moonfarian:
- Has 1-2 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, fund operations, financial services, or fund administration, with a clear focus on tax operations.
- Understands international tax systems and regulations, including FATCA and CRS.
- Possesses a basic understanding of private equity fund structures, Luxembourg AIF structures, and related tax reporting obligations (CTR, VAT, German tax filing).
- Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data and reporting tools.
- Brings excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Communicates fluently in English, both written and verbal.
- Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and can adapt quickly to new processes and regulatory changes.
- Demonstrates strong stakeholder management skills and can build productive relationships with both internal teams and external providers.
- Has exceptional attention to detail (this will also be assessed through the case study).
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Tax Law, or a related field.
