Security Engineer (m/f/d)
We're looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team and help us protect our systems, data, and users. In this role, you'll work hands-on with modern security tools, jump into real-time incident response, and collaborate with teams across the company to keep our environments secure and resilient. If you enjoy tackling complex security challenges, working with great people, and making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
You will:
- Monitor, analyse, and respond to security events and incidents across enterprise systems using tools like SIEM and SOAR.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify, prioritise, and remediate security gaps.
- Design, implement, and maintain network security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
- Develop and support security orchestration and automation workflows to enhance response times and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and business stakeholders to integrate security best practices across projects and daily operations.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts by participating in audits and ensuring adherence to frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and DORA.
- Document incidents, findings, and remediation efforts for reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
The next Moonfarian:
- Has 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or a related technical role.
- Brings strong technical skills in:
- Network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption
- SIEM tools (e.g., Azure Sentinel)
- Vulnerability management (e.g., Nessus, DefectDojo)
- Scripting and automation (Python, Bash)
- Endpoint protection (e.g., CrowdStrike)
- Secure development and DevSecOps practices
- Understands and applies security standards and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, DORA).
- Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex security concepts into clear business value.
- Demonstrates a proactive, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven mindset.
- Enjoys learning, adapting to new technologies, and working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Holds relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Security, Security+, CEH), with advanced certs like CISSP or CISM considered a plus.
