Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Platforms to help us build and strengthen scalable, resilient and cost optimized platform services for Momentive Software.

This role will help us build out seamless interoperability and common shared services across our products and platform services. The role will work with cross-functional development teams, operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient integration solutions.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development:

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and frameworks that support a diverse range of applications and systems.

• Ensure scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance of platform services.

System Integration:

• Build and optimize services that enable seamless integration between internal and external systems.

• Develop APIs and SDKs for third-party integrations, ensuring reliability and security.

Performance Optimization:

• Analyze and improve system performance, reducing latency and ensuring smooth operations under high traffic.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices in platform architecture, such as authentication, encryption, and access control.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Collaboration and Innovation:

• Work closely with product managers, infrastructure engineers, and front-end teams to align platform capabilities with business goals.

• Research and implement new technologies to enhance platform functionality and developer experience.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain monitoring systems to ensure platform health and performance.

• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions to maintain service reliability.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred.)

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in R&D architecture and integration

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, and middleware.

  • Proficiency in enterprise service bus (ESB) technologies and data exchange protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, XML, JSON).
