Overview: As a Senior Manager, Engineering at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the resources and processes necessary to deliver new software products and maintain existing ones.
Collaborate with department leaders to define, publish, maintain, and monitor key development metrics.
Drive strategy and execution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, including seamless integration with enterprise systems.
Ensure adherence to best practices for Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, and deployment across all modules.
Establish and evolve development standards, processes, and best practices to support scalable, high-quality software delivery.
Maintain broad awareness of related projects to ensure alignment and avoid duplication of efforts.
Oversee recruitment and talent identification for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and culture.
Foster team growth by developing skill sets, setting clear expectations, and supporting career development.
Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the team’s domain, including leveraging AI tools to enhance product development and innovation.
Engage directly in software development when needed to support delivery and mentor team members.
Promote and contribute to a self-organizing team culture, encouraging ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
8+ years of software development experience, and 3+ years of management experience
5+ years of experience using modern object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C#, C++, Java, Python) and software development best practices
4+ years of experience with
Microsoft technologies (e.g. WPF/WinForms, ASP.Net/Core, SQL, VSTO Add-in, etc.)
Back-end web services (e.g. REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.)
Front-end UI (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, React, etc.)
Testing frameworks (e.g. NUnit, xUnit, jest, etc.)
As a plus, experience building Microservices-based software, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Open XML, Elasticsearch, Machine Learning
Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform including the customization and configuration of Dynamics modules
Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for extending Dynamics capabilities
Data migration and integration using Dataverse and Azure services
Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., Devin, Cursor) to accelerate coding workflows, improve code quality, and enhance team productivity.
Experience managing software development teams that deliver quality software at scale in an Agile Scrum environment
Comfortable giving feedback and resolving conflicts, with strong listening and negotiation skills.
Strong proficiency in business analytics and metrics gathering, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
