About the Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate and efficient handling of financial transactions and reporting within our Finance team in Limassol, Cyprus. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting key accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll, and VAT submissions. This position plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and compliance, contributing to smooth day-to-day operations and supporting overall business objectives. The role follows a hybrid model, with two days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including the timely and accurate preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Prepare and process payments
- Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Oversee monthly payroll and related social insurance reporting
- Support the team in achieving departmental goals and deadlines
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar finance role
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to learn accounting software (Netsuite experience will be considered an advantage)
- Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities
