Position Overview

The Senior Manager / Associate Director, Forecasting & Insights will provide strategic leadership and analytical rigor to support Kyverna’s commercial planning for miv-cel and future pipeline assets. This role is accountable for building and owning end-to-end forecasting capabilities, translating complex data into actionable insights, and enabling informed, data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Sr. Manager / Associate Director will partner closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, Clinical Development, and Executive Leadership to ensure forecasts and analytics are aligned with scientific reality, market dynamics, and corporate strategy.

Reports To: Director, Commercial Strategy

Location: Emeryville, CA (Hybrid: 2 days a week) or West Coast Remote

Travel: Approximately 10%

Responsibilities

    • Serve as the enterprise owner of commercial forecasts across different stages of the product lifecycle, including, pre-launch, launch, and in-market assets
    • Conduct market research and insights generation independently and in partnership with partners to support launch readiness and strategic planning
    • Monitor for and communicate key competitive intelligence events
    • Lead development of integrated demand and revenue forecasts used for corporate strategy, portfolio planning, investor communications, and Board reporting
    • Establish forecasting methodologies, assumptions, governance, and standards across the organization
    • Drive scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments to support executive decision-making
    • Design and oversee advanced analytics frameworks that synthesize epidemiology, market research insights, real-world evidence, competitive intelligence, and internal performance data to generate clear insights for senior leadership.
    • Develop forecasting assessments to inform long-range planning, key development milestones, and strategic clinical and commercial decisions
    • Ensure forecasting assumptions are transparent, well-documented, and aligned across cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Commercial Leadership, providing insights to support brand strategy, launch planning, pricing and access discussions, resource allocation, and long-range planning.
    • Partner closely with Finance to ensure alignment between commercial forecasts and corporate financial planning processes.
    • Establish best-in-class forecasting governance, tools, and processes, including vendor management where applicable, to ensure scalability and rigor as Kyverna grows.
    • Create a high-performing forecasting, insights and analytics team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in forecasting, analytics, commercial operations, or related functions within biopharma including experience in rare disease, immunology, and/or cell or gene therapy
    • Management or strategy consulting experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting methodologies, scenario modeling, and advanced analytics is required.
    • Strong ability to translate complex quantitative analyses into clear strategic insights for executive audiences. Proven experience partnering cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Finance is essential.
    • Experience supporting launch planning and commercialization strategy
    • Experience in specialty or rare disease sales operations within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a proven record of building and scaling sales organizations in pre-launch and launch settings required.
    • Experience with cell therapy, gene therapy, infusion-based products, or highly complex specialty products is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success informing national sales teams, strong strategic and analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership building and owning commercial forecasts for launch-ready assets
    • Experience supporting executive decision-making in launch-ready environment
    • Strong expertise in demand forecasting methodologies, scenario modeling, and market analytics
    • Comfort navigating ambiguity and complexity is essential.

The Northern California Bay area range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000 USD annually. The final compensation will be based on individual qualifications, experience, skills, internal equity, and market alignment. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus, comprehensive benefits, and participation in the Company’s stock option plan.
