We are seeking a mission-driven Customer Success Manager to lead strategic account engagement across our U.S. Public Sector portfolio, with a focus on the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC). The ideal candidate will bring firsthand experience in the national security domain, a deep understanding of procurement and operational intelligence lifecycles, and a passion for transforming data into decision advantage.
As the primary post-sale interface for our defense and IC partners, you will ensure successful onboarding, operational adoption, renewal, and expansion of Kpler's platforms across secure and classified environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic advisor and engagement lead for Kpler’s defense and intelligence customers.
- Drive onboarding, training, and mission-specific configuration of Kpler platforms (Maritime, Risk, Metal Flows, Commodity Intelligence).
- Translate mission requirements into technical use cases and work with product/engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Partner with customer leadership, analysts, procurement officers, and program managers to identify new use cases and expansion opportunities.
- Track KPIs and adoption metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and value delivery.
- Provide customer feedback into product roadmaps, especially around air-gapped delivery, secure API integrations, and data sovereignty.
- Support BD and sales leadership with renewals, recompetes, and customer briefings.
- Represent Kpler at classified forums, working groups, and trade events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
- 5–10 years of experience supporting or working within the U.S. DoD, Intelligence Community, or a federal defense contractor.
- Strong understanding of the public sector procurement cycle, especially as it relates to software, SaaS, and mission support solutions.
- Experience with logistics, ISR, MDA, GEOINT, or supply chain operations.
- Proven success in a customer-facing, client management, or account director role.
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical products into mission impact narratives.
- Familiarity with federal environments (e.g., JWICS, IC ITE, SIPRNet, FedRAMP/IL5).
Nice to have (Qualifications)
- Prior service in intelligence, operations, acquisition, or logistics commands (e.g., DIA, NGA, DLA, Army G-2, Naval Intelligence, COCOMs).
- Experience working with APIs, GEOINT platforms, or maritime/trade datasets.
- Knowledge of critical mineral sourcing, global commodity supply chains, or maritime security is a plus.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (CMMC, ITAR, Section 232, CAATSA).
