Job Summary:
- The Change Advisory Board (CAB) Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end change management process within the organization, with a focus on production environments, including both infrastructure deployment and software development.
- This role ensures that all changes are managed efficiently, minimize risk, maintain compliance, and support audit requirements. The CAB Manager will also lead CAB meetings, review change requests, manage communications, and ensure adherence to established change management processes.
- The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure changes are implemented efficiently, with minimal disruption to business operations, while maximizing adoption and value realization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Change Management, with strong experience in a managerial role.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure Deployment and Software Development in Production Environments.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Strong understanding of CAB processes, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Proficiency with Change Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Risk Management and Incident Management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate regular CAB meetings, ensuring effective evaluation and approval of changes.
- Review, approve, or reject change requests based on established criteria.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Development, Operations, Product, Security, Infrastructure, and Product teams to ensure clarity and alignment on change requests.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Change Management process in line with industry best practices.
- Monitor change implementation for adherence to approved plans and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all changes are documented, including rollback plans, testing outcomes, and post-implementation reviews.
- Follow up and confirm the completion of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents related to failed or problematic changes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to standardize operational changes and drive productivity and efficiency improvements.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve potential deployment collisions or conflicts, ensuring seamless change implementation.
- Maintain an audit trail of change activities to support compliance and regulatory audits.
- Work with IT Security, Compliance, Infrastructure, Product, and Development teams to ensure change management aligns with organizational policies.
- Develop and distribute change-related communications to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and facilitate urgent and emergency change requests, ensuring they are processed through appropriate channels with minimal disruption.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on Change Management processes and best practices.
- Oversee the integration of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated deployment processes within the CAB framework, ensuring they align with change management controls.
Work Environment:
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during critical change windows.
