Business Analyst, Corporate Finance Location: Miami, FL
Position Overview:
The Corporate Finance Analyst will support key financial processes across the organization, with a focus on headcount tracking, human capital planning, and operational financial reporting. This role sits within the broader Corporate Finance function and requires strong attention to detail, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information. The analyst will partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and department leaders to ensure accurate and actionable financial insights that support business decision-making.
In this role you will:
- Collecting data from various sources such as Netsuite, Salesforce, and other financial systems.
- Track and analyze headcount trends, personnel movements, and workforce costs across departments.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts related to labor, compensation, and organizational structure.
- Build and maintain dynamic Excel models for headcount tracking and scenario analysis.
- Manage sensitive data sets with integrity, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to align on workforce planning, hiring targets, and cost control.
- Assist in developing executive-level reports and presentations that summarize workforce financials and trends.
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement, automation, and data integrity enhancements.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects within the finance organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related areas of study, including: Business (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Org Behavior, Operations & Supply Chain), Economics, Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, Liberal Arts (e.g., Psychology, Industrial and Labor Relations).
- Strong problem solver able to effectively operate in high pressure and dynamic situations.
- Demonstrated (through professional or academic experiences) ability to:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and use analytical tools, including Excel. Ability to use PowerBI (or similar tools like Tableau) a plus.
- Synthesize information and distill key takeaways.
- Work at a fast pace and in a rapidly changing environment.
- Execute projects.
- Work collaboratively and independently.
- Highly flexible; able to respond to a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer / client focus and an orientation towards results.
- Self-starter with good time management to meet deadlines.
- Strong experience in MS Excel (e.g., vlookups, countifs, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
