About the Role:
Kaseya is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of our new Backup product.
In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and executing test strategies that cover both functional and non-functional aspects of our software. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to build comprehensive test coverage across APIs, backend systems, and core virtual machine-level functionality. Your deep understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and continuous delivery practices will be key to our product's success.
This is a high-ownership role ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality software.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and maintain automated tests for APIs and virtual machine (VM)-level core functionality
Perform database validation and complex SQL-based testing
Use tools like Retrofit, REST Assured, and similar to test REST APIs
Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and manage them using build tools and test runners
Leverage Docker to set up and maintain reliable and scalable test environments
Collaborate with developers and product teams to define and refine testing strategies
Execute manual and exploratory testing when necessary to ensure full test coverage
Track, report, and manage defects to ensure timely resolution
Ensure test documentation is thorough and up to date
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer in software testing and automation
Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket)
Strong understanding of API testing tools like Retrofit, REST Assured, Postman, etc.
Experience with test runners and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes
Proficient with Docker for managing and creating test environments
Strong experience with SQL and database testing
Fluent English communication skills (B2+ level or higher)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail with the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems efficiently
Eagerness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Solid understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Hyper-V or VMware for test environment setup
