What You’ll Be Part Of:
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants supporting the GL function
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment
- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and career development planning
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and SOX requirements
- Partner with auditors to support year-end audit processes
- Lead accounting for leases (ASC 842), fixed assets, expenses, accruals, AP, payroll accounting, debt, equity, capitalized software, and cash
- Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures for assigned areas
- Collaborate with external service providers and internal teams as needed
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and policies
- Support system enhancements and automations, including NetSuite improvements
- Develop scalable processes to support business growth
- Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Legal, People Ops, and other departments
- Provide accounting support for budget vs. actuals analysis and compliance requirements
- Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1+ years in a management role
- Public accounting background or experience in a high-growth technology/SaaS company strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with NetSuite and other ERP systems a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage large data sets
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong work ethic and drive to seek continual professional development
- Must be well organized, have the ability to prioritize, be a self-starter and comfortable communicating across various internal teams and external partners.
