Job Description
This position will work within the IT team and will interface with project stakeholders to identify and document requirements. They will assist with business process details. The Business Analyst will be the first line of defense for answering system related questions from the business and will escalate system issues as necessary to the appropriate IT staff. The position is also responsible for managing projects, communication of projects timelines, and aiding with the training and implementation of projects. Candidates should have strong communication skills and have the desire to work collaboratively across the company.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather, document and define business requirements and prioritize efforts.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements for IT and development teams.
- Coordinate and lead meetings for our business system partners and act as the liaison with IT to support relevant systems.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to elicit requirements and drive consensus.
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Triage system issues to aid the development team in understanding issues and driving prioritization.
- Coordinate and lead meetings for our business system partners and act as liaison with IT to support relevant systems.
- Provide recommendations for system business decisions after meeting with wide array of stakeholders (assists development team with analyzing operational objectives by studying business functions).
- Provide rollout plans and training for projects.
- Provide backlog management and aid with iteration planning.
- Provide prioritized product roadmap, reporting on projects, and timelines to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of analyst experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable asking questions and learning new concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of competing priorities.
- Ability to work well with a team and manage stakeholders.
- Experience with Jira, SharePoint, and Asana is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of information systems development, SQL, and SDLC methodologies.
- Experience presenting data to stakeholders virtually and in-person.
- U.S. work authorization
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
