Job Description Summary
The Sr. Data Architect will work closely with the BI team, product knowledge specialists, and internal customers to turn raw data into insightful information that can be used to make sound actionable business decisions. They will design and manage the organization's data infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security to support strategic decision-making. They will create blueprints for how data is collected, stored, integrated, and accessed across different platforms, ensuring it aligns with business goals and regulatory compliance. The data and tools they provide help operational teams drive improvement in key operational metrics, customer experience, and business results. The Sr Data Architect will also lead and manage projects with a strong emphasis on team collaboration.
What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the organization's data systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Working with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure the data architecture supports their goals.
- We are a cloud first organization and with that our BI toolset is cutting edge technology across multiple vendors (Stitch, Snowflake, and Power BI)
- Implementing measures to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security across the organization's data systems.
- Choose appropriate data storage, processing, and analytics technologies based on business requirements and strategic goals.
- Establish guidelines for how data is managed, used, and governed within the organization.
- Working with more than 100+ directly connected data sources throughout the Inhabit ecosystem.
- Oversee daily operations and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Coordinate tasks, delegate effectively, and manage resources to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
- 5+ Data warehousing, specifically creating data marts with SCD Type2 tables
- 5+ years’ experience working with complex and vast data stores in a modern environment utilizing Snowflake.
- Expertise in designing and implementing various data models, including relational and dimensional models.
- Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Stitch, Python, and Alteryx preferred.
- Flexible to various demands and ability to solve problems, including the ability to logically approach a problem and propose multiple recommendations
- High level of interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with other functional groups and individuals to meet overall business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Education Requirements
- 4-year college degree in business, information systems or computer science.
