JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Websites to lead the development, optimization, and innovation of our vacation rental website platforms. In this critical leadership role, you’ll oversee the performance and evolution of three internal website platforms, supporting a portfolio of roughly 1200 individual client vacation rental websites.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will be responsible for consolidating the DMS website teams and aligning best practices to support our new website platform.
  • This position will drive a major digital transformation initiative — migrating our entire website portfolio from two legacy platforms to a single, modern internal platform — while continuing to deliver high-performing new websites that convert lookers into bookers.
  • Ensure seamless integration and data flow between the platforms and seven different PMSs (e.g., Streamline, Track etc.).
  • Monitor performance and platform health, ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability.
  • Own and manage the end-to-end migration of 800+ vacation rental websites from two legacy systems onto a unified internal platform.
  • Build and lead cross-functional project teams, including developers, designers, product managers, and vendor partners.
  • Create timelines, manage resources, identify risks, and ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of new website builds, ensuring alignment with vacation rental marketing best practices.
  • Maintain high standards for SEO, mobile responsiveness, speed, accessibility, and conversion optimization.
  • Ensure all websites reflect current property availability, pricing, and booking engine functionality via reliable PMS integrations.
  • Set clear KPIs and performance metrics, reporting regularly to executive stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, testing, and innovation.
  • Stay informed on vacation rental tech trends, traveler behavior, and booking path optimization.
  • Recommend and implement tools or platform enhancements that improve guest experience and owner satisfaction.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in shaping our digital presence to support brand growth and revenue goals.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using the Office suite, in particular Excel
  • 8+ years of experience in digital/web leadership, with a strong focus on multi-site architecture and platform management.
  • Deep familiarity with the vacation rental ecosystem, including PMSs, OTAs, direct booking strategies, and web integrations.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale website migrations and platform consolidations.
  • Strong understanding of CMS systems, APIs, booking engines, and data flows between websites and PMSs.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong grasp of digital marketing principles including SEO, CRO, UX/UI, and analytics.
