Job Description
Reporting to their Marketing Manager, the Marketing Automation Strategist will be responsible for building and implementing automated communications and programs within our marketing automation platform. This role will draw on a wide variety of skills, including direct marketing, database marketing, email, analytics, and operations.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Execute mailings and campaigns in the marketing automation platform, supporting various stakeholder program objectives
- Supporting the creation of segments
- Building lists from existing database using various geographical and hierarchal constraints
- Uploading lists
- Building, proofreading and testing campaigns
- Provide feedback to copywriters on email copy, layout, etc. to ensure best practices are followed
- Testing campaign flows and logic
- Build out engagement programs based on prospect click activity
- Create UTMs to track email performance
- Pulling campaign data and analyzing performance insights to make recommendations on how to adjust email/campaign strategy and layout to increase effectiveness
- Pull campaign performance ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and yearly to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns
- Partner with the sales team and event team to manage & monitor the flow of leads for more effective lead follow up and more conversions
- Enable to flow of leads into salesforce in Marketo campaign
- Ensure that all leads and information from forms, events, and trade shows flows over correctly and troubleshoot when faced with errors
- Make sure sales team members up to date in brand’s salesforce so tasks can get assigned to appropriate sales rep
- Assign tasks to specific reps when they hit the brand queue
- Collaborating with sales team to make sure event data is formatted correctly and accurate prior to upload
- Create and build templates for new brands in our Marketo instance
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience using marketing automation technologies at an enterprise level managing multiple brand workspaces. This includes technology such as Marketo, Right Now, Eloqua, or Aprimo to drive marketing results – strong preference for Marketo experience with a mandatory desire to immerse oneself in Marketo if not currently using.
- Experience Managing Email programs within a segmented database of various customer profiles
- Team player with a successful track record of working with cross-functional groups
- Enjoys learning new skills in an ever-changing environment
- Generalist experience in email marketing
- Project management skills and prior experience managing campaign execution from planning through to implementation, measurement and analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen focus on campaign quality (attention to detail) to ensure that customer campaigns go out to the right set of customers without typos, incorrect/broken links
- Experience managing email marketing programs within B2B SaaS, Software or PropTech highly preferred.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, or similar experience.
