Responsibilities
- Creation and maintenance of cartographic DataBases.
- Conduct indepth analysis of various geographic and spatial data sources to assess their completeness, accuracy, relevance.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of core geospatial services, including address autocomplete, forward and reverse geocoding, and routing performance.
- Investigate and diagnose geospatial issues such as inaccurate pick up or drop off locations, suboptimal routing paths, or user complaints associated with mapping errors.
- Perform spatial analysis to detect and visualize problem areas, including high driver/passenger mismatch zones, cancellation clusters, and routing inefficiencies.
- Work closely with engineering, data science, and cartography teams to drive continuous improvements in geodata coverage, quality, and service reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or higher in Geoinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience working with geospatial data and spatial analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and BigQuery.
- Basic Programming skills in Python for geodata processing and research automation.
- Experience using GIS tools (e.g., QGIS) and webbased platforms for spatial data visualization.
- Solid understanding of geospatial data formats and concepts (e.g., WKT, WKB, GeoJSON, coordinate reference systems).
- Familiarity with routing, geocoding, and mapping APIs.
- Experience working with OpenStreetMap (OSM) datasets.
